REAL Images from our Solar System that left Scientists SHOCKED

There is truly nothing more awe-inspiring than the vast unknown of space for decades NASA and various space agencies around the world have been studying and closely observing the world beyond our galaxy in doing so they have chanced upon

 some outrageously beautiful sights

welcome to Science Reads and today we will take a look at some of the most breathtaking photos from space that will prove just how amazing the world beyond our home planet really is supernova remnant images and data collected from Hubble as well as Chandra show a beautiful view of cassiopeia a at a distance of 11,000 light years this supernova remnant is basically what is left after the explosion of a massive star the picture captures the neutron star at the center of it all and the different colored outer layers along with the blue light emanations from a number of little neutrinos this cosmic wonder is a gorgeous sight to behold the omega nebula nebulae are some of the prettiest things you can find in the sky and messier 17 the swan nebula lobster nebula or even sometimes called the Omega Nebula is no exception at first glance it appears to resemble a raging ocean full of hydrogen gas and other elements like gas and sulfur this hotbed for star formation is beautiful to look at with wave-like patterns running through it due to the ultraviolet radiation from young stars the Glamxy located about 60 million light years away the image captured by the Hubble telescope shows the beautifully enchanting galaxy NGC 5643 lying in the constellation lupus the galaxy seems to almost be shimmering with an array of stars scattered around it it falls under the category of safe fert galleries which essentially means they have very luminous centers that are thought to be powered by the material being sucked into it by supermassive black holes the impressive outflows that you see stretching out around the galaxy that kind of look like glittery arms are likely a result of the material being ejected from the accretion disk of the black hole at the core in turn giving us a glamorous spiral galaxy you gotta give it up to space for managing to make even floating debris and material look pretty this stunning image apparently took about nine hours of observation time but it sure is worth it for the gram people go to some great lengths to get the perfect Instagramable selfie but this one might just take the cake famous for being the second person ever to walk on the moon astronaut Buzz Aldrin also owns the title of creating the first ever selfie in space he can be seen here pictured in space with the earth shining magnificently behind him funnily enough he took the image over half a century ago during the gemini 12 mission before selfies were even a thing you go buzz and what do you know he even made t-shirts with the picture on it gotta say at 91 buzz aldrin sure is way cooler than most of us and living his best life the eye of god the constellation Aquarius holds one of the closest planetary nebulae to earth

NGC 2973 otherwise known as the helix nebula is known for being one of the brightest ever discovered rivaled only by the dumbbell nebula situated 650 light years away from earth makes the helix nebula possible to see even with smaller telescopes owing to its striking appearance it has even earned the name eye of god the color composite picture of this cosmic beauty was taken from an observatory in Chile the blue green hue at the center represents the abundance of oxygen atoms that are shining due to the after effects of intense ultraviolet radiation from its central star a star that just so happens to be 6.5 times the mass of our own sun distant galaxies can even be seen through the thin layer of gas at the center of this nebula Jupiter the great using data from the Juno chem instrument on NASA's Juno spacecraft citizen scientist Gabrielle Fissette was able to create this enhanced color view of the greatest planet in our solar system the image was taken from an altitude of 32 400 miles or 52 200 kilometers above the giant planet's cloud tops the breathing image shows a spattering of unorganized filamentary structures and streams of air that appear on the surface like giant tangled strings some would even argue that it

 kinda looks like spaghetti the

white oval-shaped structures in the picture show the cloud storms on this mighty planet the not-so-little teapot an image taken by the international soho spacecraft's

extreme ultraviolet imaging telescope or eit captured a rare phenomenon which seemed to showcase a handle-shaped presence

or prominence erupting from the sun

generally speaking prominences are huge clouds of relatively cool dense plasma suspended in the sun's hot tenuous corona occasionally they erupt and escape from the sun's surface according to the solar and heliospheric observatory the prominence seems to extend to at least 40 earths the stunning photo showcases the peculiar shaping formed by this prominence some say the sun looks like a hot teapot while some argue that it resembles a kettlebell from their gym either way it's one of the most splendid fireworks shows in our solar system

keeping it plutonic undoubtedly one of the most controversial objects of our milky way pluto can be seen here in a series of four images that were actually combined together along with color data from the new horizons long range imager the beautiful images show that it is anything but a mere inert ball of ice it was actually this dwarf planet that opened up the existence of a third zone to scientists prior to the discovery of the Kuiper Belt they believed that the solar system had only two parts the inner and outer zone it may be a dwarf planet but by no means is it any less important much like the roman god of the underworld that the planet was named after it seems rather fitting that it too sits on the outer reaches of our solar system so much so that it's no longer considered a part of our planetary system i'm sure Pluto doesn't mind this change in relationship status we simply want to keep things plutonic the Horsehead Nebula one of the most stunning images of nebulae was taken from the Hubble space telescope the Horsehead Nebula looks like a huge waking giant in the black of space the picture shows the nebula in all its glory with the upper ridge of the nebula illuminated by the sigma or ionis a younger five-star system this dark light gobbling nebula is a companion to the flame nebula and is completely made up of clouds of dust and gas named for its unique horse head shape it also looks like an angry titan in the sky its vivid pink colors and shape have made it an object of interest for many space enthusiasts the great cosmic reef to celebrate 30

years of the Hubble space telescope

a beautiful and chanting image of what

resembles a cosmic sea world was released in the picture you can see the red nebula NGC 2014 and the neighboring smaller blue nebula NGC 2020 both are a part of a vast star-forming region 163 000 light years away in the Magellanic Cloud right at the center of the nebula is the group of stars that are approximately 10 to 20 times the size of the sun the blue nebula in the picture is estimated to be 200 000 times brighter than the sun if space had its own great barrier reef this is what i would imagine it to look like Jupiter's north pole auroras are the stunning light shows that we see in the planet's atmosphere and recently astronomers were able to capture an image of the aurora taking place on the poles of Jupiter in the words of chandler bing could Jupiter be any cooler the stunning image shows the phenomena captured via the Hubble telescope on the largest planet in the milky way kind of jealous that i'm not there to see it Jupiter's auroras are also known for emitting some unusual x-ray flares that are thought to originate from the sulfur and oxygen ions constantly being emitted from Jupiter's volcanic moon io these x-ray auroras are so powerful that the amount of energy they produce is thought to be more than any power station on earth could produce for days these vivid aurora sure make for a beautiful display almost like Jupiter is having its very own light show space art lying in the constellation Monoceros the super giant star v838 Monoceratis is quite the work of art images from the Hubble

telescope have shown just how beautiful this distant star is the deep red color at the center surrounded by the dust around it gives it an alluring look against the vast black backdrop of space the bright star system is adorned with spirals of dust and twinkling stars making it look like a shiny space ornament unlike other supernovas though the v838 has simply grown in size ever since it was first discovered instead of shedding its outer layers like the others would one of the leading ideas is that instead of undergoing epic peroxisms and violent blasts of gas and dust the central star could actually be the result of two stars colliding and merging which is an extremely rare event this giant red star is apparently 380

times the size of our sun and about

20 thousand times brighter with its mysterious origins the V838 Monoceris remains to this day a true space enigma and an object of otherworldly beauty portrait of the universe and finally we have what is undoubtedly the deepest portrait picture of the observable universe ever taken the space telescope science institute unveiled this breathtaking picture of the universe taken by the Hubble space telescope in march 2004 the photo shows different galaxies and swirls of stars against the backdrop of the vast dark space in an area known as the Hubble deep ultra feel and it is absolutely mind-blowing it's kind of like a family portrait with different galaxies stars nebulae of all shapes sizes and colors coming together for a picture it's pictures like this that just reminds us how much more is out there and how we have so much to explore until new we're in more advanced space telescopes are launched we won't be getting any better portraits of the universe anytime soon making it one of a kind sorry Hollywood but this picture beats your Oscar selfies the real stars of the universe are right here so what do you think which one of these was your favorite let us know in the comments please like and share the article and don't forget to subscribe to our channel for more articles like this thanks for reading we'll see you next time
